Lesson 4 of 4

Lesson 4

Saving what you find

You have learned to ask, to talk back and forth, and to get answers that are truly useful. The last piece is simple but important: how to keep what the AI gives you, so you can use it later or share it with someone.

The big idea

When the AI gives you something useful — a letter, a recipe, a list — you can copy it, save it, or send it to family, just like any other text on your phone or computer.

  1. Copy the answer

Most AI helpers have a small “Copy” button near each answer — often it looks like two little overlapping squares. Tap it, and the whole answer is copied. Now you can paste it into an email, a message, or a notes app. If you cannot find the button, you can also press and hold on the text to select and copy it, the same way you would with any other text.

  2. Paste it where you need it

Once copied, open where you want it — your Messages app, your email, or a note to yourself — press and hold, and tap “Paste.” The answer appears. For example, you might copy a birthday note the AI helped you write, then paste it into a message to your grandchild.

  3. Share it with family

Proud of what you made, or want a second opinion? You can send it straight to someone. Copy the answer, open WhatsApp or Messages, and paste it to your daughter or a friend. Many people share the helpful things they discover — it is a lovely way to pass it on.

A gentle note about privacy

Save and share the helpful things freely — recipes, letters, ideas. But just as you would not write your bank PIN on a postcard, do not type private details like passwords, full bank numbers, or identity card numbers into the AI. We will cover staying safe in more detail in another lesson.

A friendly reminder

The AI does not keep your conversations forever, and once you close it the chat may be gone. So if an answer is truly useful, copy and save it while you have it.

Your turn

Make something and keep it

Ask Iris to help you write a short note — maybe a thank-you message or a birthday greeting for someone you love. When she gives it to you, practice copying it. You have now done a complete, useful task with AI from start to finish. Well done.

Practice with Iris now

You have finished your first track!

You started by wondering what AI even was. Now you can ask a question, have a back-and-forth conversation, and save what you find. That is real, useful skill — be proud of it.
